Holy Crap, I had a blog....
I could name a thousand reasons why I forget I had started a blog back in 2013. None of them are relevant now, and I never really promoted this little treat, so it really doesn't matter.
What does matter, is that I'm back. Like AC/DC style Back. If you don't know who AC/DC is...please take a moment to educate yourself: ACDC Education Back In Black
And, for the love of all that is HOLY, turn it UP!!!!! That opening guitar intro is worth any reprisal you may receive. SQUIRREL!
OK, I'm back. I could really go on forever about amazing guitar solos. Like forever. Also, if you ever really want to annoy your friends during a night of drunken karaoke after being forced to go up on the stage and sing for the umpteenth time.....ask for November Rain....really, really? By Guns N'Roses.... November Rain GNR Why? Well, because it has one of the longest guitar solos of all time, and you only have to know like ten words and you can sit on the stage, lie down on the stage, drink on the stage and still fulfill your friends request to, and I quote, "OMG, just go sing one more song. Puh-lease." (Also, I don't think real friends force you to karaoke.)
So, carrying on with the guitar thing just a little further. And, I really have no idea where this is going now. Stevie Ray Vaughan and Carlos Santana rock my world. Why didn't I learn to play the guitar? Years of piano lessons, and band geekness for the alto saxophone and the trumpet and I never learned the guitar. My Granny B used to tell me about some cousin from Oklahoma who played guitar for some guy named Erik. I had no freaking clue. I didn't care as a kid. I was 4 years old when Carl Radle passed away. I knew Gran was sad and went to the funeral. That situation had no further relevance to my life as a child than caring about my Gran not being sad anymore.
I do love my cousins though, I'm not completely heartless. It's neat to think about that much talent in the family, too. Alas, I am not a super cool bass player, but I am good at being me. And, I'm so good at being sassy. OMG it's like my best talent.
There aren't really an agendas to my blog, until there are. And wow, you will know it when I hit a soapbox. This is really just an outlet. To let me clear the cobwebs and then go back to more productive endeavors. I'm just gonna go with this and see what happens.
Peace
(Actually, I really mean the peace part. REALLY, REALLY MEAN IT! It would be great to never see another crazy Trump tweet about nuclear holocaust ever again. Mainly because, I am not ready for the dystopic fallout. Now I need to go find Orwell.)
